Program Description

The Fashion + Photography Certificate is a 21-credit, career-focused program designed for students who want to build professional fashion imagery skills alongside a strong foundation in fashion business, textiles, and digital marketing. Students learn the technical and creative essentials of digital photography, advance their visual storytelling in fashion contexts, and curate a polished portfolio suitable for internships, freelance work, and entry-level roles in fashion media and merchandising environments.

Through hands-on coursework, students develop competencies in camera operation, lighting, composition, post-production workflows, and portfolio presentation, while also learning how apparel products, brand positioning, and textile characteristics influence visual merchandising, content creation, and consumer engagement. The program culminates in a cohesive portfolio that showcases fashion-focused photographic work and digital content aligned with industry expectations.
