Digital Photography I
Course Description
Students will develop a substantial and in depth understanding of the digital camera, electronic imaging technology, digital workflow, the construction of an image, media storage, and the conceptual understanding of an image. The course will cover proper workflow from in-camera to Adobe Bridge to Adobe Photoshop. While establishing technical skills, students will investigate the possibilities of this medium and take risks for visual communication and personal expression. Students must provide a Digital SLR camera. Minimum four to six hours of additional lab time each time will be necessary to complete the goals of the course. Additional expenses for storage mediums and printing paper will be incurred. This course is a prerequisite for subsequent photography courses.
