Program Description
This certificate of achievement in fashion merchandising is intended to provide students with job specific education and skills for advancement in the fashion industry. Graduates of this program can move on to careers in retail management, entry level buying, merchandiser, inventory control, and visual merchandiser positions.
Graduates of this program will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding of the interrelationships between the consumer and the primary, secondary, retailing and auxiliary segments of the fashion industry
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of the fashion industry from concept to consumer
- Apply appropriate visual merchandising techniques
