Student Email and WebAdvisor


Technology has dramatically altered the way students access and process data. It is important to understand the options that are available and how to use these various tools.

Accessing the MyBrookdale Student Email and Office 365 Accounts       

Why Do I Need Access to MyBrookdale and Office 365 Student Email?

  • All students, faculty, and staff are assigned a unique user name and password known as a MyBrookdale NetID.

  • MyBrookdale is your gateway to important academic information, news, services and applications.

  • Notifications regarding payment dates, registration dates and much more will be sent to your Office 365 Student Email account.

  • Once activated, your MyBrookdale NetID provides access to all Brookdale online services and applications within the MyBrookdale quick launch navigation.

How Do I Activate MyBrookdale NetID and Office 365 Student Email Accounts?

1.  Lookup Your MyBrookdale NetID Account Information

  • Go to http://www.brookdalecc.edu

  • Click on the “MyBrookdale” button

  • Click on the “NetID” icon

  • Click on “Lookup your account

  • Enter your Last Name AND either your Student ID OR Social Security Number, then click the “Next” button

Take note of your User Name and Default Password.  You will need them in order to change your default password.

2.  Change Your Default MyBrookdale NetID Password

  • Click on “Change Your Default Password

  • Enter your User Name, Default Password (from above), and New Password (twice), then click on the “Next” button

3.  Activate Your Office 365 Student Email

  • Click on “Go to MyBrookdale

  • Click on the “MyBrookdale” button

  • Click on the “Office 365” icon

  • Enter your full email address, for example:  username@my.brookdalecc.edu

  • Enter your password (after being redirected to Brookdale’s Office 365 login page)

  • Click on “Sign In

  • Accept the terms and conditions to activate your account

How Can I Access My Academic Information?

Students can access academic and financial information in WebAdvisor.  Access WebAdvisor from the MyBrookdale quick launch navigation by following the steps below.

  • Go to http://www.brookdalecc.edu

  • Click on the “MyBrookdale” button

  • Click on the “WebAdvisor” icon

  • Enter your MyBrookdale NetID user name and password, then click “SUBMIT”

  • Click on “Students

What Can I Do in WebAdvisor?

Student Planning -  Allows students to create a degree plan that will fast-track them through Brookdale. Students can easily find and select courses that match their schedule and view them on an easy-to-read calendar. The Student Planning Model also helps students track their progress towards a degree or certificate with ease.

Registration - Based on eligibility requirements, students may be able to register, add and/or drop classes online. To determine eligibility, log in to WebAdvisor through MyBrookdale and click on the link “FAQ” from the student’s menu and read question #25 “Can I register online?” (Students are responsible for printing verification of all WebAdvisor transactions after completing registration and add/drop activities.)

Academic Profile - Students can look up grades, GPA, a list of completed courses and current class schedule. This is the ONLY way to access grades unles students request a hard copy from the Registrar. Students can also check progress toward degree requirements. (Degree Audit).

Financial Profile - Students can check financial aid status, make a payment and check their account summary.

Academic Information On-line

Students can access academic information in WebAdvisor which can be accessed by clicking on MyBrookdale from any page on the Brookdale website. This is the only way to access your grades unless you request a hard copy from the Registrar. Students are responsible for checking their grades. If a student believes there is an error on their transcript, they should contact their instructor immediately.
