Cross-Cultural Psychology

Course Description

This course examines the cultural foundations of psychological processes and human behavior. We will examine the role of culture in psychology, look at the way in which psychologists have traditionally examined culture, and explore practices in various cultures throughout the world. The course will emphasize cultural interpretation of basic research and the real-world applications of cross-cultural psychology and will explore topics such as interpersonal relationships, social behaviors, and ethnocentrism. (Prerequisite or Corequisite: PSYC-105 or PSYC-106)
