Course Description
Students participating in the Contemporary Music Ensemble will concentrate on performing popular, contemporary works. Each student will glean a clear understanding of the techniques, instricacies and dynamics of rehearsing and performing in an amplified group setting; these include reading charts, learning songs aurally, navigating PA equipment, arranging choreography and staging, marketing and promotiong the band, and other facets of producing a successful contemporary music concert. The semester will culminate with staged performance in the Performing Arts Center.
