Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:

Develop their ability to define and analyze problems related to the utilization of interior space.

Express their understanding of the following; development of the design program and identification of client/user needs, adjacencies, ergonomics, anthropometrics, and proxemics, barrier free accessibility and universal design, codes, and commercially rated furnishings and surfacing materials through design drawings and documents.

Identify contract furniture manufacturers and will contact manufacturers for sample materials for presentation boards and product information for specification writing.

Identify a need for information and collect, analyze, organize and evaluate information from a variety of sources.
