In this course students will examine the culture and history of the Vietnamese people; the twentieth-century wars involving the French and Americans that took place there; the impact of these conflicts on Vietnam and America; and their legacy in the contemporary world. Two field trips will be taken to the Vietnam Era Educational Center and Vietnam Veterans' Memorial in New Jersey.
