Sewing Techniques II

Course Description

Students will continue the study of techniques and materials required to construct sewn products as well as advanced concepts and terminology of industrial garment production. Some of the topics covered include: knit fabrics and construction, bias and bias treatments, and tailoring. Upon completion of the course, students will demonstrate a mastery of more complicated assembly methods through the use of commercial and production patterns by producing samples and sample garments. Prior experience with sewing required. (Prerequisite(s): FASH-131)
