Course Description
This course introduces students to the evolution and contemporary structure of the Esports and gaming industries. Through an exploration of major historical developments, technological innovations, and cultural movements, students will examine how competitive gaming became a global media phenomenon. Emphasis is placed on the organization of modern esports ecosystems, including professional leagues, live event production, streaming, and related career opportunities in Esports. The course also explores the ethical, social, and economic factors that shape the rapidly expanding field of digital competition.
