CINE115

Students will view films from a selection of genres (western, action, film, noir, etc.) and be able to identify the formal conventions of each genre. Students will apply key principles of film theory to specific films and will be able to identify the shifts in popularity and the evolving conventions of certain genres over time, and be able to connect those shifts to cultural changes in society.
