Digital Drawing for Interior Design and Architecture Academic Credit Certificate of Achievement

Today’s graphic communicators depend on computers for nearly all steps in the creative process.  This certificate is a comprehensive CAD curriculum, from fundamental to complete customization, including 3D design and visualization.  The courses prepare students for an entry level position in CAD design, as well as enable graduates of Architecture and Interior Design programs along with professionals to remain current in the marketplace.

Graduates of this program will be able to:


  • Utilize design principles to develop digital drawings for Architecture and Interior Design
  • Create and plot architectural drawings using a variety of computer-aided drafting software programs
  • Apply the concepts of 3D and modeling in CADD (Computer Aided Design and Drafting) and BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology
