This innovative program in Music Technology provides students with the skills and expertise necessary to enter the field of computer-generated music. The curriculum provides a complete education in the software used in the digital music industry such as ProTools®, Digidesign®, Finale® and NOTION Music®. Graduates of this program will have the skills and expertise necessary to obtain employment in music preparation, orchestration, recording, performance and the video-gaming industry.

Graduates of this program will be able to:
- Examine the theoretical, historical, and technological perspectives required to create and perform music
- Apply the fundamentals of music theory and principles
- Utilize industry-standard equipment and applications for the production of music and multimedia

Prerequisites:
Students with no prior music study are required to take the following prerequisite courses before taking MUTC 101, MUTC 105 or MUTC 111. Students with the requisite music skills will have an opportunity to take placement tests. |
