Prerequisite(s): A grade of “C” or higher in NURS 160 or a grade of “C” or higher in NURS 111 and NURS 171 ; Admission to the Nursing Program

Description: This course introduces students to current issues in nursing and health care. A range of topics is explored from philosophical, theoretical, ethical, social, economic, historical and research perspectives. A critical thinking approach that incorporates the elements of reasoning and universal intellectual standards focuses the student on generating new thoughts, understandings, beliefs and insights.
