Lab/Studio: 0
General Education Course (M)
Prerequisite or Corequisite: MATH 273
Description: This is an introductory course in concepts and applications of differential equations. Topics include classical methods of solving first- and higher-order differential equations, mathematical models for phenomena such as growth and decay, chemical reactions, motion of a body, spring-mass systems and electric circuits, qualitative and numerical aspects of differential equations, and systems of differential equations. Problems are approached from a variety of perspectives, including graphical, numerical, verbal, and algebraic.
