NURS171 - Nursing Concepts I Credits: 6 Lecture: 4 Lab: 6 Technological Competency (t) Prerequisite(s): A grade of “C” or higher in HESC 107 and BIOL 111 ; ENGL 121 and PSYC 106 . Prerequisite or Corequisite: A grade of “C” or higher in NURS 111 and NURS 125 Description: This course introduces students to nursing concepts, knowledge, skills and attitudes that will be developed throughout the program. The student will learn the role of the nurse in providing patient-centered care and develop clinical reasoning and decision-making skills as a foundation for the nursing process.
