Marriage and the Family

Course Description

Students will develop a sociological understanding of marriage and the family. The course adopts a historical perspective on the evolution of marriage and family as an institution and analyzes current forms of the family. The impact of social and economic changes surrounding the family are considered.(Prerequisites: READ-095 or satisfactory completion of the College's foundational studies requirement in reading; SOCI-101 strongly recommended)
