Course Description
This course is comprised of students who need to complete both READ 091 and MATH 011. The course is designed as an initial basic skills reading course that introduces students to reading comprehension strategies and vocaulary skills necessary for success in college, with integration of math literacy. Students will learn explicit comprehension strategies to read college-level textbooks. The learning community model is designed to offer additional support for student success. Students are encouraged to collaborate with classmates and instructors, and to build relationships in and outside the classroom.
