This course examines human needs in the community. The influence of the family, cultural diversity and financial concerns on the delivery of community-based care is explored. In addition, the varied roles and practice settings of the community-based nurse and the basic principles of epidemiology are discussed. (Prerequisite or Corequisite: NURS-160)
