Pharmacology for Nurses

Course Description

This course introduces the student to the basic principles of pharmacology and the role of the nurse in medication administration across the lifespan. Students will be expected to complete accurate mathematical calculations related to medications and perform psychomotor skills to demonstrate safe medication administration in a simulated patient-care setting. (Prerequisites: HESC-107, BIOL-111 [grade of C or better]; ENGL-121 and PSYC-106)
