This course is designed for students with little or no guitar experience and will focus on the basic skills needed to play the guitar. Specific areas of discussion will include reading music, fingerboard basics, strumming and picking technique and an introduction to chords and scales. Skills learned in this course will allow the student to perform music in a variety of styles. Attendance at one Brookdale concert is required.
