Course Description
What's the best way to define and pursue social justice? How do we cultivate our empathy, deepen our ethical commitment, and make a positive impact as global citizens? Together, we will seek answers to these essential questions by embarking upon a quest that transcends disciplinary boundaries. In a collaborative community of scholars, students will demonstrate personal agency and problem-solving skills as they share their learning about identity, inequities, social justice movements, and global issues. Taking a critical approach to textual analysis and information literacy, students will demonstrate personal agency as they practice communication in various modalities (written, oral, multimedia) with the goal of addressing complex issues and effecting positive change.
