Physical Fitness

Course Description

This course will provide the student with basic information regarding the benefits of physical activity, good nutrition and their relationship to health, quality of life and longevity. Behavioral risk factors leading up to the premature onset of cardiovascular disease with a focus on behavior modification will also be discussed. The components of physical fitness will be defined in relation to individual goals and sports performance. Fitness workouts in a fitness center are a required component of the course.
