This is the first of a two-part course for students of English as a second language who have attained near-native proficiency in oral skills but whose writing skills need to be developed further before they embark upon college-wide courses which require writing. Emphasis will be placed on effectively incorporating relative clauses, adverb clauses, transition words, and prepositional phrases in essay writing, and building academic vocabularv. (Prerequisite: A grade of "C" or higher in ESL-022 and ESL-025 or as result of a placement test)
