NURS160 - Introduction to Human Needs

Description: The first course in the Nursing Program introduces the student to the practice of professional nursing, the Human Needs framework, health assessment and the elements of reasoning used in critical thinking.Students will learn to calculate medications, use basic communication interventions and engage in strategies that will promote success in the program.(Prerequisite: Admission to the Nursing Program; Prerequisites or Corequisites: BIOL-111, PSYC-106)
