Discrimination Complaint Procedure

Brookdale Community College is an Equal Opportunity Affirmative Action institution.  No person in whatever relationship with the College, shall be subjected to discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, creed, color, nationality, national origin, ancestry, age, sex/gender (including pregnancy), marital status, civic union status, domestic partnership status, gender identity or expression, familial status, affectional or sexual orientation, atypical hereditary cellular or blood trait, genetic information, liability for service in the Armed Forces of the United States, disability, (including perceived, physical, mental, and/or intellectual disability) or other protected categories or activity (i.e., opposition to prohibited discrimination or participation in the complaint process). Sexual harassment is a form of unlawful gender discrimination and, likewise, will not be tolerated.

Any student, who feels he/she has been the victim of discrimination or sexual harassment, should bring these concerns to the attention of  Richard Pfeffer, Dean of Enrollment Development and Student Affairs, located in MAC 106. Students can email rpfeffer@brookdalecc.edu, or phone 732-224-2215. The Dean is the designated Section 504/ADA and Title IX Coordinator for all student matters. Students may also contact Sondra Cannon-Harris, Manager of Diversity, Inclusion and Compliance located in the Human Resources Office in the Brookdale Administrative Center (BAC). The Dean of Human Resources is the designated Section 504/ADA and Title IX Coordinator for all employment matters at the College.
