2013-2014 Catalog Addendum


Changes were made to the 2013-2014 College Catalog following the catalog’s release in June 2013.

Below are a summary of changes:

New Course Added

  •   Elementary Portuguese II (Cr4) (4:0)

Course Revision:

  • CADD 121  Engineering Graphics with Cad (Cr3)(3:0).  DRFT 106 is no longer required as a prerequisite.

Requisite Correction:

  • ENGL 129 Writing in the Digital Age (Cr3) (3:0).  ENGL 121 is a prerequisite or corequisite

 

New Option:

  • Health Science Option in the Social Sciences AA program effective Spring 2014.

 

Medical Laboratory Technology A.A.S. Program

  • Program is accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS), 5600 N. River Road, Suite 720, Rosemont, IL 60018-5119.  Accreditation information for this program added to Accreditation section and Program Description on the Medical Laboratory Technology A.A.S. program page.  

 

Correction to Pastry Arts Academic Credit Certificate:

  • Revision to description: change in career credits from 23 to 22.5 and electives from 1 to 2 credits to accurately reflect required coursework and credits

Correction to General Education Cultural and Global Awareness requirements for AA degrees – “or other program requirements” deleted from requirement as follows:

  • Cultural and Global Awareness (CG) (Diversity): - 3 credits One course is required from those courses designated with a (CG). This designation is for any course that significantly helps students analyze the implications of the commonalities and differences among culturally diverse people. Students may meet this requirement while simultaneously fulfilling the General Education requirement for another knowledge area or other program requirements. Note: Students who fulfill this requirement by taking a course from another knowledge area will need to take three credits from any General Education knowledge area to satisfy the 45-credit requirement for this degree.
